MAH MBA MMS CET 2014 NOTIFICATION |
MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2014 Notification, Maharashtra MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2014 Notification.
The Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has decided to reintroduce the ‘MAH-MBA/MMS-CET’, the common entrance exam for admissions to management institutes in the state, from academic year 2014-15. Maharashtra DTE is yet to decide the date of the Maharashtra MBA/MMS-CET 2014, that it is expected to be conducted in February 2014. The DTE has created a special webpage on its portal http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba2014 to provide updates about the CET. The DTE had declared an overall admission capacity of 46,245 seats for 2013-14 admissions in the 419 management institutes across the state, including 404 private unaided institutes.
Last year all admissions to the MBA/MMS institutes in the state were carried out on the basis of the scores in the all-India Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which regulates technical education in the country. 85% seats in the government-run and aided MBA/MMS institutes in the state and 65% seats at private unaided and minority institutes will be filled through the MAH MBA/MMS CET from 2014. Another 15% seats will be filled through the all-India quota, the notification added.
The all India quota refers to students who appear in the nationally recognised tests, such as the CAT conducted by the IIMs, JMET conducted by the IITs, MAT conducted by the AIMA, XAT conducted by the XLRI, and ATMA conducted by the AIMS. Students who appear for the CMAT will now be allotted seats at institutes in the state through the all-India quota, the notification.
