UGC NET Result 2014



The University Grants Commission (UGC) will conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) in 79 arts and humanities subjects on June 29, 2014 for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor. Those who have secured at least 55 per cent marks in Masters degree in humanities, including languages, and social sciences, computer science and applications, electronic science and so on are eligible to appear for the test. Candidates belonging to the other Backward Classes (OBC) non-creamy layer/Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Persons with Disability (PWD) categories need 50 per cent marks. 




Those appearing for the final-year PG exams can also apply. One can appear for the test in the subject of their post graduation only. The upper age limit for JRF is 28 years as on 1.6.2014 and relaxation up to 5 years is provided to OBC non-creamy layer/SC/ST/ PWD categories and women. Relaxation will also be provided to those having research experience and to LLM degree holders. There is no upper age limit for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Detailed eligibility criteria are given on the website www.ugcnetonline.in. The examination fee is Rs.450 for general candidates; Rs.225 for OBC non-creamy layer; and Rs.110 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates. Online application facilities will be available on www.ugcnetonline.in up to May 5. For notification visit www.ugc.ac. The application should be sent to the Registrar of the Coordinating University before May 15.


The marks of all the candidates will be uploaded on UGC website www.ugcnetonline.in soon after declaration of result. Besides this, UGC will not issue any mark sheet to qualified/non qualified candidates.



    

The UGC NET 2014 candidates, having any grievances with regard to answer key(s) even after declaration of result of NET June, 2014, may send a written request to the Head, UGC NET Bureau, South Campus University of Delhi, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi-110021 supporting his/her stand with standard books/literature along with a Demand Draft of Rs.5,000/- in favour of Secretary, UGC within one month from the date of declaration of result of NET June, 2014 examination. 





The request so received will be placed before the Expert Committee(s) for re-examination of the answer keys. In case the answer key is are found to be incorrect, the UGC will process the result in the light of changed key(s) and qualify the additional candidates for JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor. Also, the result of previously qualified candidates for JRF and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor shall remain unchanged.
