Maharashtra HSC SSC Results Sept 2014


Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, Conduct Exams 1.37 lakh students would appear for the secondary school certificate (SSC, class X) exam while over 95,000 would appear for the higher secondary certificate (HSC, class XII) supplementary examinations that start on Sept 26, 2014. 





The SSC exam will conclude on October 11 while the HSC exam will end on October 20. The exam will be conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education across nine divisions in the state. SSC students from 13,469 schools and HSC students from 5,168 schools have registered for the examination to be conducted across 766 centres.



For the HSC exam, a multiple question paper system will be set for English subject. For all language subjects, the oral examination will carry 20 marks while the written exam will carry 80 marks each. It is mandatory for all repeaters to appear for the oral examination again. The environment subject will be compulsory for all candidates and its exam will be conducted by their respective colleges, a statement issued by the board said. The exam for the information technology (IT) subject will be conducted online. Students must confirm the time-table of their respective subjects and accordingly appear for the exam.



For the SSC examination too a multiple-question paper system will be followed for English (second and third language), math (part I and II) and general mathematics (part I and II). Internal examination conducted by the respective schools will carry 20 marks each for language, maths and general math subjects and 80 marks for written examination. It is mandatory for all repeaters to attempt the orals for all language subjects and practical exam for the science and technology subjects.



Students writing the exam under the class improvement scheme will have to attempt only the written examination. Students who have taken admission to Std XI under the allowed-to-keep-term (ATKT) system will get a chance to clear the subjects they failed in during the February-March examination.



The board has allowed certain concessions for the physically-challenged and special children i.e. those suffering from dyslexia; dysgraphia and dyscalculia; blindness or visual impairment; cerebral palsy, physical disability and autism, among others.
